Antique General Electric 6 blade table fan. Patented 1895, manufactured 1901. These are very rare. It has a manufacture number of 752344. It is an incredible piece of made in America industrial manufacturing. It was originally used in the tailoring room of my grandfathers small clothing store. When I was lifting the fan off of my dresser to take pictures I inadvertently caught the cord under the dresser leg and broke the plug. The fan works great otherwise. Antique 1917 Emerson No 24668 Oscillating 3-Speed Motor 6-Blade Electric Fan.. The nickel plaque on the back of this antique, early 20. Century 6-Blade Fan identifies it as being made by the Emerson Electric Mfg Co and as a model No. 24668, which dates it to 1917-18. This antique Eletric Motor Fan has a serial number of A46741 and a 17 inch diameter cage. You can see in my photographs that this antique Cast Iron & Brass Fan does have wear to the six, 6 3/4″ by 4 1/2″ brass blades, as well as the black enameled, cast iron base. We were the first in a long time to plug this fan using the original wiring. This Emerson began to run, slowly at first, but once it picked up it ran perfectly and quietly. They just don’t make them like this any more. We guarantee with a little oil, this fan will run perfectly and is ready to go to work this summer. Original antique 6-blade Westinghouse Fan Brass Cage & Blades runs smooth! Fabulous antique 6-blade brass Westinghouse fan. The label reads style 162634, serial number 500J26 [the’J’ may be incorrect]. This fan runs wonderfully with a nice quiet hum and no noticeable blade wobble. I can’t see any damage to the brass fan cage or the brass fan blades themselves. Someone has cannibalized a few parts off of this though, most noticeably one of the 4 supports from the housing to the fan frame, and also the “through” screws that hold the fan supports to the housing have been removed (with two replaced with short galvanized screws and the other 2 not replaced at all). The only other concerns I can find are I think the switch has been changed from 3-speed to 2-speed, the felt has been removed from the bottom plate, and of course you can see that the cord will need replacing, too. Cage diameter is 13 inches, and from the table to the top of the cage is about 15-1/2. Base diameter of about 7 inches. So you have a magnificent – and potentially beautiful fan – that someone has removed a few parts from. It clearly has excellent bones, is authentic and original and is an excellent candidate for a generous dose of time and effort, and will certainly make a marvelous finished product. I’m a little jealous, I wish I was competent to bring this back to its original beauty, it’s easy to tell what a stunning fan it will be.
