Circa 1910 Dynamo Electric Motor in The Manner of Thomas Edison’s Iconic Design. This Dynamo is supported by a thick, heavy cast brass base. “Louis Pegala Peru” is inscribed on the base. I was advised by a knowledgeable collector that this motor is from circa 1910. This motor may have been refinished in the past. The black finish displays nicely. This is an extremely well crafted piece. Tested and does not run.

This example displays its original finish and could use some refreshing, it runs quiet on all 3 speeds. Brass blades and parallel ring cage showcase a nice patina. The blade/hub needs to be tweaked and the top strut is incorrect. Presenting from the collection of a longtime fan enthusiast, this restored Circa 1914 12 Peerless Tab Base Front Oscillator with a brass cage and blade. The fan has been expertly restored in a stunning black finish and the blades and cage have been polished to display a beautiful shine. It oscillates very smoothly and operates on two distinct speeds when running on 110 volts AC, as indicated on the motor tag. Initially, I assumed the fan would have three speeds; however, the low and medium settings on the switch are bridged together. This appears to have been done during manufacturing. We have two other original switches for Peerless front oscillators, and they are also bridged in the same way. Dimensions 17H X 13W X10D.
