This is an original art deco desk fan made by GEC, dating to around the middle of the last century. It’s in lovely condition for its age with various age related imperfections. It starts and runs beautifully. It’s smooth and quiet in both gears. If you intend to use it as a practical fan, it should be looked at by a qualified electrician. A couple of the spokes on the protective cage have come loose (see 8th photo), and the cage is still nice and sturdy and holds firm. All in all, it’s a lovely vintage desk fan and a great example of art deco design.
