Antique Fan General Electric G. E. Brass Green Paint Restored
This is a wonderfully restored original General Electric G. With less than one hour use post restoration. I bought this 20 years ago and only used it once. The body, base, electric motor casing, carry handle, and cage are painted in a very pretty “High Gloss Hunter Green Paint”. The blades Quantity (4), the 2 1/8 G. Logo cap; the on/off and speed plate; cage mounts to motor casing; all screws; the direct (up or down) butterfly nut and swivel collar; the oscillating metal dial, clamp/bar, and bottom knob; and thumb lock key are all in “Restored Bright Brass”. The twisted or braided electrical cloth cord is black and a new one for safety; but, looks original to the time era. Socket plug looks original and re-wired for safety purposes. The cord is an ample 82 inches in length for convenience. Each of the Quantity (4) four original brass blades are 5 1/2 inches long. The GE logo cap is 2 1/4 inches wide. The hunter green color cage is 13 1/4 inches across. Fan stands a total of 16 inches high. The heavy base is 6 3/4 inches wide. The complete fan weighs 27 pounds! There is a black color Bakelite or plastic switch at bottom. Beneath it is in almost 4 inch wide on/off and speed brass switch plate; also with electrical information. The switch plate says: (in sequence shown) Off, High, Medium, Low. The brass plate also says: 110 Volt, G. 75423, NP16652, Type-AOU, Form. The fan runs very nicely; its sounds fine and not too noisy; smooth operation; and speed changes engages quickly. The paint is a beautiful high-gloss hunter green. Very attractive only issue with the paint at all. Is some tiny paint chips on the bottom lip of the base and there are a couple of rough spots on paint just above. Really not a big deal to overall appearance (I stored it on the floor and something scratched the paint as described above). The rest of the paint job which is 95 to 98% great and a 9 or 10 out of 10 being perfect. You can touch up these very minor paint flaws a bottom or just leave it as is. Beautiful working original brass General Electric G. Fan completely refurbished and ready to use. The item “Antique Fan General Electric G. E.
